As of today, we're enabling Cohero users to create their own custom views. This is enabled both on
workspace level
(spanning across all spaces), as well as on space level
(within the confines of 1 space). With this fundamental new introduction, we are taking away the hardcoded 'preset' views that our Asset Library had until now - replacing it with a dynamic and customizable alternative that fits your organization (and you, as an individual user). What challenges does this address?
Over the past months, our users have told us frequently how they find it challenging to gain an overview of all the ongoing work. Or even to gain an overview of all assets or projects by a number of criteria - with custom info visible to them, or within the confines of just one Space. The 'List' layout we offered up to now, simply didn't offer the granularity, or any level of customization of what you see.
On top of that, users expressed the desire to
keep
that overview permanently available to them, so they don't need to 're-set' those filters/sorts every time they use Cohero. On a higher level (spanning an entire Workspace) - we also see how different companies want different standard overviews for their users. That's why this new feature also allows
workspace admins
to create or customize views on workspace level, so that everybody has them straight away. Still allowing regular members to create their own private views too.How can this does this help you?
Views are now available to all members, including Guest users. All members can create their own. And with sufficient permissions in your Space, you're even enabled to save changes to public views for all other users in your Space.
You can create views of
Projects
and Assets
- each will give an immediate and live (!) overview of what's going on, by criteria that matter to you or your peers. Furthermore, views can be updated when circumstances change. You can create as many views as you like. You can also choose what data you want to see in your view, by selecting
columns
. You can decide to add columns, hide columns, re-arrange the columns, change their width, or pin them to a fixed position. Both general info as custom info fields are offered in the shape of columns, along with other information (status, asset manager, project manager, due dates, etc). Seeing more views than you care for? No problem, you can always decide to hide views that are not important to you.
