We've taken another step in boosting our client's self-service level, by reimagining the Cohero Settings page. What started out as a page uniquely accessible to workspace admins, we've transformed it to become the
Settings page for members and admins
alike.
So, what's changed?
The Settings page is the destination for both regular members and workspace admins, enabling them to configure how they use Cohero. While the page contains an integrated navigation with two sections ('Account' and 'Workspace'), Admins will see both, and regular Members will only see 'Account'.
The
'Workspace' settings
equip admins to administrate users better than before (with an improved layout, and quickfilters to have the most important information at a glance) and invite new members to a workspace. We've also improved the way how
groups
are managed, and new ones get created. Beyond that, we're giving admins more capabilities to manage the info fields related to projects and assets, and they are now able to update the workspace name and avatar (eg: to reflect Pride month, St Patrick's Day, or to respond to other circumstances). Lastly, this is where workspace admins can configure their security settings.
The
'Account' settings
equip both members and admins to update their
personal
settings, such as changing your avatar or cursor color. But also offer some basic display preferences. Beyond that, this section enables users to see exactly on which devices they're logged in (giving the option to log out from those devices) and to see which workspaces they're a member of (and leave those they no longer want to participate in). Lastly this section carries the (beta) MCP configuration, where members can soon control the technologies they've granted access to their Cohero account - more updates on this section following soon.

How does that benefit me?
Admins now have an easier time doing the workspace admin work that is on their plate, and Cohero gives them more transparency and ease to fulfill their tasks. Meanwhile, regular members have more capabilities to personalize their account and how they appear to others in this workspace, whilst also gaining transparency on where they're actively participating and logged on.
We look forward to seeing users personalizing their avatars, and making Cohero even more 'tailored to you'!
