Assign menus (fly-outs, where you can select 1 or multiple names of people or teams in Cohero) sit across the application.
For example:
  • You use an assign menu to ASSIGN A TASK to somebody
  • You use an assign menu to INVITE AN APPROVER to a step
  • You use an assign menu to IDENTIFY THE PROJECT MANAGER
and so forth.
Even though that is one compononent, different companies would like it to behave differently in each context. For example in one company's case:
  • When people use the assign menu to identify the ASSET OWNER, then Company X wants that assign menu to ONLY SHOW TEAMS and not individuals.
This feature enhancement aims to make that configurable in the 'Workspace settings'. This provides the admin with way, to manage how Assign menus behave, across their workspace - to better match the business operating model.
Suggested settings to control, would be:
  • [Whom to show] Show (or hide) teams, individual members, or both
  • [Statuses to include] Show active, pending, or both
  • [Amount selectable] Allow 1 to be selected, or multiple to be selected
  • [Eligibility] Select eligible teams/members. Only those will be shown to the user
