On a user level, to be enabled to configure your email notification preferences:
Offer the user the choice, to personalise how often they prefer to receive notifications, of various kinds. Eg:
- When I get mentioned: immediately
- When I get assigned a task: end of day
- When I get invited for approval: end of day
- Completed approvals: xyz
- Closed tasks: xyz
