Asset Canvas & tasking

There is a need to be able to make a new version (update) to assets sitting waiting to be released. Currently you can not update an asset waiting to be released. And then being able to scrap the version sitting waiting to be released (Note - there is another similar enhancement to this one - but that is about changing a release date once set)

The pre-fix on asset codes means something, and overtime many have had the wrong prefix selected. However these can not be changed, as then you loose the linkages and audit trail of previous versions (stacking). It would be good to have a way that the prefix can be changed, but you still had a way of linking it. Could you change the prefix, but leave the number the same, and the history of the asset still be maintained. Both from a Cohero system but also considering the studio and how they save and reference files, as well as the warehouse and how they control versions.

When you select the download function - nothing appears to indicate the action is in progress. Some files take bit of time, and therefore you're left wondering if the download button worked. Until it downloads.

From time to time colleagues accidently start a new job as opposed to select 'create new version' - would be good to have a way to retrospectively link, and give it the same asset code - giving us a better audit trail for the asset.

This is a blocker to easy use - and results in the user having to do lots of mini calculations when reviewing tasks, approvals, comments, logs. For example I am looking at the activity log- for something that happened on 19 May - however the log shows '1 month ago' and I have to hover over it to find the exact date. I though I just needed time to adjust to the change - but now 6 months on and it's still making the system more clunky to use. Probably okay for day to day use - but hopeless for audit when looking back at large volumes. In the screen grab - two are the 17th May and the final one is the 20th - which is not clear from initial view, without further inspection. And there is too much activity to sit and hover over every date.

Introduce a “Cancel Task” indicator alongside the existing “Complete Task” functionality within the system. This would explicitly indicate when a task was intentionally NOT carried out, rather than showing as complete (misleading) and buried within comments. Currently, when a task is no longer required or cannot be actioned, users rely on comments. Resulting in misleading task statuses, non clear audit trails, and time-consuming review processes when trying to understand task outcomes. This would give us: Cleaner audit trails - records that a task was not performed, eliminating ambiguity Improved visibility - Users can quickly understand task outcomes without reviewing detailed comments Enhanced reporting - Enables accurate metrics on cancelled vs completed work

Needs fully scoped out However simple basis for an asset reviews Trigger a review task - so shows on 'to do' list Ability to reassign task. Ideally sent to asst owner mailbox, or team manager (delegate of) with ability to reassign to someone else, to spread workload. Useful features for scope: Ability to leave a note See size see workload of people ability to export so can play around with allocations before actually reassigning

Being able to respond to tasks - similar to approvals and that it sits in the task panel. Would assist off-time review activity, print and production process, improve audit trails

You need to be able to search for things such as expiry date change, final approval comment Need to be able to filter - Activity relating to approvals - Activity from <person> - Activity relating to changes to asset details for example objective, expiry date - Activity relating to a set version or iteration

We have a need for the ability to have two versions in 'create new version' work on the same asset at the same time. This is needed to enable minor amends to happen while bigger updates happen.
