Approval Workflows

In some regulated industries, skipping a certain approval step is okay, as long as there's a justifiable reason for it. We're currently not capturing any motivation for skipping a step - which makes reading the activity log (in this particular situation a speculative excercise to understand the WHY behind the skip. Suggestion: to offer a way to leave a short motivation, when skipping an approval step.

For urgent approval needs, it would be extremely helpful to have a way to mark an approval request as 'urgent' (similar to how a task can be marked as 'urgent')

Scenario: I am an invited approver, and I am on the asset page - however: I haven't yet seen the invitation email, nor the pending approval on the homepage. Assumption: I assume Cohero will recognize me as a user who's got an active invitation to approve this asset I am now seeing. Suggested enhancement: On the Asset page, why not ask the user with a prompt/pop-up- if he wants to begin his approval right now? (instead of requiring that he uses a link from the homepage, or an email notification)

An approver's note (as captured in a Step) - is considered as helpful context for the approver - but it can change by circumstances. It would be very handy, to be able to edit that note while the step is active (for 'in progress', 'minimum approvals reached', or 'action required')

When an invited approver does not wish (or is not in a position) to respond to an approval request, he needs an option to reject the invitation. Ideally, doing so would happen in combination with leaving a short verbatim/comment, to explain why he is rejecting the invitation, or perhaps to mention the person he would suggest inviting instead. Note: rejection is another trigger to the Asset Manager

When an approval request is assigned to a team, then any member of that team is enabled to approve or reject it. When that happens, we currently do not show which member it was that approved it. This poses a challenge to the ability to respond (on a personal level) to the approver, let alone the ability to understand whom it was. Proposed enhancement: _ Reflect the invited team (because that has not changed) _ In addition, reflect the individual member who actually completed the approval. Perhaps through a tooltip on hover?
